Dean is a Senior Occupational Therapist with 12 years experience working across a number of sectors, including Lifetime Support Authority, Department of Veterans Affair, Comcare, Return To Work SA, and the NDIS. Dean’s clinical skills range from working with people with complex injuries, to people living with lifelong disabilities. He has experience with orthopaedic, degenerative and congenital conditions affecting younger to older adults. Dean’s passion is problem solving and enabling independence. He has a collaborative approach to care and has worked closely with support co-ordinators, LAC’s, and care givers. Dean has a background in aged care and has worked at Autism SA in his initial stages as an OT. Dean has an energetic nature and loves a laugh. Dean performs Functional Assessments, Home Modification, and Assistive Technology services. Dean is also one of a handful of OT’s who can perform Driving Assessments, Prescribe Vehicle Modifications, and teach driver readiness. He has performed complex vehicle fitouts for wheelchair users and is a promoter of ‘strive to drive’. |
